These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by Makeup by Lola JO ("we", "us", "our"). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Terms and conditions
1. Bookings & Deposits
- A non‑refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking fee is required to secure your date and time.
- A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- Deposits secure time exclusively and cover administration, preparation, and lost opportunity costs.
2. Final Payment
- The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the booking date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- If the final balance is paid early and the booking is later cancelled outside the cancellation window, the balance may be refunded at our discretion (excluding the deposit).
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations within 7 days of the booking will forfeit the deposit.
- Rescheduling is permitted once only, subject to availability, and must be requested at least 7 days prior to the booking date.
- In the event of illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, Makeup by Lola JO may offer a credit at its discretion.
4. Lateness
- Clients must be ready at the scheduled start time.
- Lateness may result in reduced service time to avoid delays to subsequent bookings.
- Delays exceeding 15 minutes may result in cancellation without refund.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Clients must disclose any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or skin concerns prior to the appointment.
- Proper skin preparation as advised is the client’s responsibility. Results may vary if prep guidelines are not followed.
- Makeup by Lola JO is not responsible for outcomes affected by undisclosed conditions or failure to follow preparation advice.
6. Health & Hygiene
- All tools and products are sanitised following professional hygiene standards.
- Services may be refused if a contagious condition is present, with no refund provided for late notice cancellations.
7. Satisfaction & Adjustments
- Any concerns must be raised during the appointment so reasonable adjustments can be made.
- Once the service is completed and the client departs, no refunds or adjustments will be provided.
8. Allergic Reactions & Liability
- While professional-grade products are used, reactions can occur.
- Makeup by Lola JO is not liable for allergic reactions where products have been patch‑tested previously or ingredients disclosed.
- To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to re‑supplying the service or refunding the service cost.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
10. Damage to Property or Equipment
- Clients are responsible for any damage caused to Makeup by Lola JO’s equipment or property during the booking and may be invoiced for repair or replacement.
11. Photography & Media Use
- Clients consent to the use of images or videos taken during or after the service for portfolio, website, and social media use.
- Consent may be withdrawn by written request prior to the appointment.
12. Privacy
- Personal information collected is used solely for booking management and service delivery.
- Information is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
- Clients may request access to or correction of their personal information.
13. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
14. Amendments
- Makeup by Lola JO reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of booking will apply.
