I'm a certified makeup artist with more than 9 years of experience in the industry. I'm well versed in many fields whether it be bridal, photoshoots, events or media and have the knowledge and skill to work on all skin colours, ages and features. I've also completed my Bachelors in Dermal Science and my Masters in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), so I'm no stranger to making skin look its best and achieving beautiful makeup applications hygienically. 

I have a Masters in OHS and take health and safety very seriously. All cosmetics and equipment are sanitised in-between clients and hygiene protocols are followed throughout applications e.g. no double-dipping, using disposables and metal spatulas to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination.  Clients can feel assured that I will take all safety measures possible to ensure a safe environment for my clients.

No holds can be made on dates until a deposit has been paid. 

Trials are optional however are highly recommended for brides as they give them the opportunity to perfect and test their desired look which gives the bride peace of mind that they will look exactly as they envision on their wedding day.

Makeup by Lola JO is a travel-only service and may have additional charges for travel depending on the location, toll fees and parking fees.

Depending on the lip product formula, lip touch-ups may be required. A sample pot of the chosen lip product will be given to the client. The remainder of the makeup is applied to withstand long days. If the client naturally has particularly oily skin it's advised the clients take blotting sheets or compact powder with them to their event.

Bank transfers for deposits and bank transfers/cash to pay remaining balances before the application begins.

My freelance kit consists of only the finest professional products ranging from high end to luxury brands. My kit is made up of brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Nars, Hourglass, Tatcha, Tom Ford, Natasha Denona, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Pat Mcgrath and Laura Mercier.

Applications take 1 hour on average however vary depending on the complexity of the makeup look and the level of skin prep needed prior.

Weddings can be stressful so I make sure I do everything within my power to ensure my bridal clients receive the beautiful makeup application of their dreams. For an artist to achieve this, bridal makeup requires more preparation and time. Along with that, I prefer to arrive at least 30 minutes early to all bridal bookings to allow plenty of time to set up and keep the day running on schedule, have a customised deluxe skin prep ready for each one of my brides to provide the ultimate base for makeup, allocate additional time for the bride's application and stay with my clients until they are dressed to add body makeup and touch-ups if necessary to ensure the final look is nothing less than perfection. I also provide each client with a personalised touch-up kit to ensure they have everything they may need through the long day. I make sure that my clients are getting nothing less than a premium service.

No, false lashes are no additional cost and are complementary to all makeup application, however, clients are more than welcome to bring their preferred lashes if they have a specific style they know they want to be used on them.
